COOK COUNTY PREDATORY LENDING DATABASE EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2008!
As amended, the Predatory Lending Database applies to all of Cook County and will impact all mortgages recorded in Cook County.
Every Cook County mortgage submitted for recordation on or after July 1, 2008, must have a Certificate of Compliance or a Certificate of Exemption attached to its face in order for it to be entitled to recording. Cook County mortgages dated June 30, 2008 and prior, although submitted for recording on or after July 1, 2008, will not require any certificate.
HIGHLAND PARK AMENDS MUNICIPAL TRANSFER TAX STAMP REQUIREMENTS
Effective September 1, 2008, the City of Highland Park (Lake County, IL) has established additional requirements for the purchase of municipal transfer tax stamps and for obtaining exemptions from the municipal transfer tax.
